Proof of the Pudding is Yale’s premier SSAA jazz and swing a cappella group. Since our founding in 1975 (just six years after women were first admitted to Yale), Proof has enjoyed expanding its repertoire to include both retro jazz standards like “Lullabye of Birdland” and “In the Mood” and contemporary interpretations of the genre like Lorde and Lake Street Dive. With tight harmonies, intricate arrangements, and a love of music past and present, we strive to honor the rich and dynamic history of jazz in all our performances. Some of our recent performance venues have included Feinstein's 54 Below in New York City, Boogie Woogie Jazz Club in Seoul, Korea, and the National Democratic Club in Washington, DC. For nearly 50 years, Proof has been showing audiences from San Francisco to Seoul that when it comes to the talent of an SSAA jazz group, the proof really is in the pudding.
